![]() Signage improvements were installed in phases starting in 2013, adding new station name signs, decals on walls, wayfinding signs, new entry pylons, and an 80-foot monument pylon visible from the Harbor Freeway. ![]() Landscaping was improved in October 2012, a self-cleaning public toilet was opened in February 2013, and monitors with bus departure information were activated in March 2013. In October 2011, the Metro board voted to rename the Artesia Transit Center to the Harbor Gateway Transit Center. Improvements to the transit center started in December 2010 with the installation of bike lockers, adding improved lighting, and the repurposing of an existing building as a Sheriff's substation. Platform as message signs were being installed As part of the change, several Metro routes would now terminate at the transit center. The Silver Line began operations on December 13, 2009, with Metro planning to refurbish the aging stations along both corridors over the coming years, including the Artesia Transit Center. The new higher frequency service would be funded by converting both corridors into high occupancy toll (HOT) lanes, to be branded as the Metro ExpressLanes. Metro returned to its plan for a dual-hub route in 2009, proposing a new bus rapid transit service called the Silver Line (now J Line) utilizing both the Harbor Transitway and the El Monte Busway. On November 18, 2000, a 9.3-mile (15.0 km) section of the Harbor Freeway south of State Route 91 was widened, and new bus new stations were added on the shoulder, allowing some bus routes to be extended south to San Pedro. That amount is low compared to the El Monte Busway, which had 32,000 boardings a day in November 2000. ![]() Ridership on the Harbor Transitway was radically lower than expected: Caltrans had projected that 65,200 passengers would travel along the Harbor Transitway each day, but after 10 years, ridership fell far below those predictions, with the route seeing just 3,000 passengers per weekday in 2004. : 5 Ultimately, the Metro Board of Directors decided to largely continue to running bus routes as they had before. In 1993, Metro staff recommended the creation of a "dual hub" system with a trunk route that served both the Harbor Transitway and the older El Monte Busway. The project was built by the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and the transit facilities would be operated by Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) after completion.Ĭaltrans envisioned that the transit center and transitway would offer a similar function to the El Monte Station located at the end of the El Monte Busway, an older but operationally similar facility east of Downtown Los Angeles, offering a large parking lot where commuters would park their cars and ride buses to downtown and serving as a hub in a hub-and-spoke system for the South Bay where riders can transfer between buses. Because of uncertainty on the opening date, buses would not start using the facility until a few weeks later on August 1, 1996. : 2Īfter about 20 years of planning and construction, : i the Harbor Transitway was opened on June 26, 1996, at a cost of $498 million. The transit center, originally named the Artesia Transit Center, was built as the southern terminus of the Harbor Transitway, a 10.3-mile (16.6 km) shared-use express bus corridor and high-occupancy vehicle lanes (later converted to high occupancy toll (HOT) lanes) running in the median of Interstate 110 (Harbor Freeway) north to Downtown Los Angeles. The station, originally called the Artesia Transit Center, was built between 19 as part of the Harbor Transitway project and opened to passengers on August 1, 1996. Three game-day shuttle services also serve the station: the Dodger Stadium Express, the SoFi Stadium Shuttle (via GTrans) and Galaxy Express (to Dignity Health Sports Park). The Harbor Transitway also serves as a hub for Metro Local, Metro Express, GTrans, and Torrance Transit buses. J Line buses serve the station twenty-four hours a day the headway between buses is about four minutes during peak periods, with less frequent service at other times. The station is one of the stops on J Line, a bus rapid transit route which runs between El Monte, Downtown Los Angeles and San Pedro as part of the Metro Busway system. The station consists of one large island platform with 12 bus bays and a 980 space park and ride parking lot located in the southwest corner of Interstate 110 (Harbor Freeway) and California State Route 91 (Gardena Freeway). Harbor Gateway Transit Center, formerly Artesia Transit Center, is a large bus station at the southern end of the Harbor Transitway that serves as a transport hub (known locally as a transit center) for the South Bay region of Los Angeles County including the Harbor Gateway neighborhood of Los Angeles and cities of Carson, Gardena, and Torrance.
![]() “It’s still a work in progress, and I think it’s a new step forward as a time travel game. “ Another Eden was created as a time travel title that’s different from Chrono Trigger, created with a passionate young team that loved Chrono Trigger as kids,” he explained. In this crossover, unfortunately, we couldn’t reproduce the same amount of content,” Kato laughed, “but I’d like fans to enjoy it as a crossover project.” “I’d like to give myself kudos for all of those playable characters, diverging stories – there are as many stories as there are players. Kato described the core of Chrono Cross as a story about parallel worlds, which is why the collaboration with Another Eden made sense, even if the workload for Kato himself is not comparable. I think Chrono Trigger fans can enjoy Trigger, and Chrono Cross fans can enjoy Cross, and I’m happy with that.” “I’ve always said that this isn’t Chrono Trigger 2, it’s Chrono Cross, and that’s what we wanted to create. “Ever since release, Trigger fans have said ‘This isn’t the Chrono I know’,” Kato said laughing. I’ve always wanted to ask Kato what he, as a driving force behind both Trigger and Cross, thought about the strong and sometimes aggressive delineation between the fanbases. ![]() The end result is a highly divisive with dozens of playable characters and a totally different identity from the original. As a sequel to Chrono Trigger, considered by many to be one of the best video games of all time, Cross took a number of risks and differing-directions with the path it walked that did not hew to the path or tone Chrono Trigger set. The legacy of Chrono Cross is a somewhat complicated one. I don’t like to do it that way, so I usually don’t do it, but this time it was special.” “However, I wanted to use the music from Chrono Cross as-is right from the start, so I created the opening in a way that it would overlap with Chrono Cross in terms of image. “ The concept was that the Chrono Cross characters wander into the world of Another Eden and start a new adventure,” Kato said. The three protagonists of Chrono Cross - Serge, Kid, and Harle - travel to another parallel world in Another Eden, which itself is a story about traveling parallel worlds. Yasunori Mitsuda, who composed the iconic soundtrack to Chrono Cross is also involved with Another Eden, making the team up only make sense. ![]() Kato, who also wrote and directed the 1999 PS1 sequel to Chrono Trigger, has been eager to give Cross it’s first real collaboration since its release over two decades ago. In its next update, Another Eden takes a larger step past that periphery into an actual collaboration, as the title officially crosses over with the criminally underrated Chrono Cross in a new special event. With Another Eden, Kato has long been poking at the periphery of titles like Chrono Trigger - where he served in much the same roles - with little allusions and references, like having a frog swordsman named Cyrus as one of the principle characters. It would not be shocking if you had never heard of Another Eden. The free-to-play mobile and PC RPG has quietly existed in those often-overlooked spaces for a number of years, helmed by industry veteran Masato Kato as its scenario director and script writer. ![]()

![]() Similarly, some equipment is restricted by character class. For example, a level 3 Barbarian cannot wield an axe that requires level 8. If you do not meet the level requirements, then you simply can’t equip it until you gain more experience. Move your mouse over an item for detailed information about it. Two-handed weapons empower high weapon damage attacks, critical hits and area of effect attacks. In general, dual-wielding aids fast attacks, resource generation, abilities that have a chance to trigger on hit, attribute bonuses, and gem socketing. Skills with significant weapon damage values (like 200% weapon damage) will hit (and critical hit) for high damage, allowing you to down enemies with a great deal of Life in fewer swings than comparable one-handed weapons. Two-handed weapons have higher damage values per hit than comparable one-handed weapons.Dual weapons generally have faster attack speeds, which can afford you quicker resource generation than two-handed weapons. You’ll often receive more statistical bonuses (and have more space to socket gems) while dual-wielding. Equipping two weapons means that you can receive bonuses from both items (for example, +20 Strength and +22 Strength from a pair of swords, for a total of +42 Strength).Your base damage while dual-wielding will tend to be lower than a comparable two-handed weapon for this reason. Your damage is based off of the weapon you hit your foe with, NOT a combination of both weapons. When you’re wielding two weapons, you alternate the weapon you swing with. This bonus increases your damage per second. Wielding two weapons provides a flat +15% bonus to your attack speed.Continued abuse of our services will cause your IP address to be blocked indefinitely. Its worth noting here that I only added two types of gems to the three rings, so there isn't a missing third attribute. In this last fusion you can see one of the mismatched gem attribute's shows up as its own attribute in the result (albeit much weaker), and the other was absorbed. Critical rating diffused into the other elements. ![]() Here's how the numbers work out for a Rare 3-ring fusion to an Epic: What this means is that if the gem matches an attribute from another piece of jewelry in the fusion, it will still stack with it.Īlso, as you might expect, the higher quality of gem, the higher the boost to the output attribute (and the gem is consumed in the fusion). If the gem bonus is an attribute the jewelry doesn't have, it acts as its own separate attribute in the fusion. The easiest of these being with the socketed gem bonus matches an/the attribute the jewelry already has. To use the same language as skezzer guide in the previous post - the socketed gems act as additional attribute inputs towards the resulting jewelry's attributes. If anyone else has tips or pointers on Jewelry crafting please pass that along as well.Ĭrafting Jewelry With GemstonesAfter doing some experimenting with fusing jewelry with gemstones socketed, it appears they definitely DO have a predictable effect on the resulting ring/necklace. If anyone else has done experiments with stone in and stone out I'd love to hear about it. The use of Gemstones in jewelry crafting is unclear to me at the moment it does seem to increase and add Attributes if you have a Gemstone in the socket. If you combine 3 RARE ITEMS with the same attribute they will make an EPIC ITEM with ONE attribute, if you are able to combine Attributes and refine it down to what you want you can get a very powerful item.Ī piece of Legendary Jewelry which has 4 Attribute slots could have as few as three and as many as 9 Attributes going into it.Īttribute 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9 = Attribute A & Attribute B & Attribute C & Attribute D with the five remaining being absorbed into the main Attributes. Attribute C is absorbed into the other Attributes.Īttribute 1 + Attribute 2 + Attribute 2 = Attribute 1 & Attribute 2 with 2 being a little betterĪttribute 1 + Attribute 1 + Attribute 1 = Attribute 1 being very strong Where AB&C are selected by an internal game algorithm, It's doesn't seem random. If you combine 3 pieces of UNCOMMON JEWELRY each with the same Attribute you will get 1 piece of RARE JEWELRY with the same single Attribute here's how that works.Īttribute 1 + Attribute 2 + Attribute 3 = Attribute A & Attribute B but NOT Attribute C. "Custom Rare Jewelry" comes from events and other rewards which gives you an item with one attribute you pick at maximum value on a RARE ITEM (which usually has two) UNCOMMON ITEMS are crafted in town with Morgan the Jeweler which is also where you fuse them. To craft ONE Legendary piece of JEWELRY you will need the following:Īnd all of them have a single socket for a Gemstone. |
